Helen started in Girl Scouts in 1957 because her daughter's troop needed a leader. She was involved with the planning committee for Holly Pines Day Camp which started in 1967. She served in a director capacity until she moved to Florida in 1977.

In addition to being a troop leader and on the planning committee for Holly Pines, she also served as a local representative for the Greater Philadelphia Board of Directors. Helen was honored to attend both the 50th (1962) and 75th (1987) Anniversary celebrations.

Helen had three sons and one daughter and was passionate about scouting in general, but it was camping and outdoor skills for girls that held a special place in her heart.

We will be offering a small camp store as a scholarship fundraiser. Each year we try and raise additional funds from local businesses or organizations to help fund camp for girls who cannot afford to attend.

Items will be listed is the spring.
